1962
Early years - teens
Tim "TJ" Jordan got his first guitar at age 10. When Cream, Hendrix, Zeppelin, and Jeff Beck hit America's shores, Tim grabbed the electric guitar and never looked back. By his teens, Tim was able to play the licks of these blues-rock masters just from briefly listening to their records. Tim played in bands throughout high school, performing remarkable versions of songs from his guitar heroes' repertoires.

Also during this time, Tim was writing his first original songs on guitar and piano (the result of pre-guitar piano lessons). Tim's creative multi-genre songwriting explorations were underway!

1973 — Forest Green - Capitol Records
Tim was signed to Capitol Records with Philly-based band Forest Green. Tim penned several of the album's stand-out originals on guitar and piano, and added strong guitar and vocal performances.

The all-original eclectic pop band was an incredible live act with a large East Coast following. They shared concert billings with Hall and Oates, Todd Rundgren, Steve Miller, Bruce Springsteen, and many others. One of the concert highlights was when Forest Green opened for Roy Buchanan in front of 80,000 people in New York's Central Park.

1978 to 1982 — Univ. of the Arts
Joe Sgro, Pat Martino
Tim attended Philadelphia University of the Arts as a Classical Voice Major / Jazz Guitar Minor. During this time he studied with Philly jazz guitar virtuosos Joe Sgro and Pat Martino. Tim was also heavily influenced by jazz-rock artists Mahavishnu Orchestra, Return to Forever, and Allan Holdsworth. Many of these jazz and jazz-rock influences are still present in Tim's guitar vocabulary.

Tim continued to compose on guitar and piano, assimilating all of the genres he was exposed to.

1986 — The Ladder – Atlantic Records
Tim put his rock guitar and songwriting skills to optimal use on the Atlantic Records AOR (album-oriented rock) release "The Ladder". The band drew rave reviews from critics for their songs, performances, and production, along with favorable comparisons to Journey, Foreigner, Toto, and other AOR artists of the day. As a testament to the album's greatness, legions of AOR fans in Europe in the mid-90's acquired bootleg CD versions of the album, and blogs of enthusiastic fans adoringly hail it as one of the best AOR albums ever released!

1994 — Solar Wind CD
Tim released his first self-produced CD "Solar Wind". The CD contains original progressive rock-fusion guitar instrumentals with soaring themes and wailin' rippin' guitar solos that truly stretch the boundaries of rock guitar.

2002 — Midnight Crawl CD
Tim released the CD "Midnight Crawl". The all-original CD, which received international radio airplay, features some great blues-rock, as well as some great funk, reggae, pop, and hard rock. In addition to stylistic versatility, the CD showcases Tim's evolution as a rock guitarist, culminating in the final cut "TJ's Boogie", which stays true to the basic feel of the boogie blues-rock sound, while incorporating licks that few rock guitarists have ever explored or played.

2003 — Steel Ghost CD
Tim teamed up with bassist Rick Prince and drummer Andy Haley to co-produce their first all-original release "Take A Look" under the band name "Steel Ghost". The CD, which received East Coast radio airplay, features some fine R&B influenced power trio performances, as well as some smokin' hard rock tracks. This CD began a partnership that is going strong to this day.

2007 — Tim Jordan Band Live – Now You Are the Light -- Concert for Tommy John
Tim, Andy, and Rick played a Concert to honor the memory of Tim's son Tommy John, who tragically died in a car accident. You can hear this incredible night of music and emotional love and support for Tommy John on the CD "Tim Jordan Band Live—Now You Are the Light—Concert for Tommy John". The CD features classic rock and soul covers and originals with rock-funk killer grooves, smokin' jams, strong vocals, amazing fretwork, and dynamic rhythm section intensity.

The deep connection between the band and the audience are captured on youtube.com. These videos have been viewed worldwide to enthusiastic response.
